Elect a representative who can protect integrity of Manipur, says RK Anand

Former MLA RK Anand has stressed on the necessity to elect a representative who can protect the integrity of Manipur, is intimately versed in the issues currently plaguing the State and above all, loves Manipur.
The statement was made at a booth level committee meeting held on October 1 at Konjeng Awang Leikai Community Hall under Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C which was jointly organised by the booth level committees of polling station 21/15- Konjeng Lamdeng Awang, polling station 21/16 and polling station 21/17 (part B)- Konjeng Lamdeng Makha.
He lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh to bring about a developed India and a developed Manipur and asserted that the BJP rule in the State has ushered in an era of peace and stability.
The State Executive Member of BJP Manipur Pradesh added that the block level meeting was conducted to further strengthen the might of BJP at Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C and provided assurance of an intensified drive across all 47 polling stations of the AC.
Speaking of threats to the integrity of Manipur, he made references to the NSCN (IM) and the continuing peace talks as well as the brutal murder of renowned social activist Athuan Abonmai allegedly by the outfit.
He also urged the people to choose a patriotic representative knowledgeable in the history of Manipur who can face any deliberations on the topic of Manipur's integrity at the Assembly.
Mutum Dineshwar, vice president of BJP Kisan Morcha Manipur Pradesh spoke at the event and stated that the local area MLA fund for Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC has not yet been sanctioned.
Adding that the community is still reeling from the economic adversity caused by the pandemic, he urged the people to choose a worthy representative in the upcoming Assembly election.
It may be mentioned that notable personalities present at the meeting include Ngangom Nanao Singh, president naoriya Pakhanglakpa Coordinating Committee, Ak Shanti, spouse of former Minister (L) Ak Langamba, Yaikhom Kirankumar, secretary BJP Imphal West, Leimapokpam Nganbi, general secretary Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Coordinating Committee Women's Wing and presidents of various polling booths.
