State maintains declining trend in daily Covid cases
136 tests positive in last 24 hrs

Imphal, October 02 2021:
Manipur maintained a declining trend in daily COVID-19 cases with 136 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours against 159 on Friday.
According to COVID-19 Common Control Room, the positive cases from among the general population were reported from Imphal East (29), Imphal West (72), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (13), Churachandpur (3), Tamenglong (5) and Jiribam (2) .
As 2,524 samples were tested in the said period (last 24 hours), the daily test positivity rate registered is 5.4 percent.
The samples were tested at RIMS (13), JNIMS (11) and other testing centres (112) .
At least 2 Covid deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours as per the State Level Covid Deaths Audit Committee.
The deceased from Imphal West and Churachandpur were not vaccinated and had co-morbidity.
With the addition of 2 more deaths, the cumulative number of deaths has been increased to 1860.Today, another 150 persons were discharged after recoveries from Home Isolation (49) , RIMS (3), JNIMS (11), CCCs (80) and CHICs (7), pushing the recovered cases to 1,16,803 including 4,255 Central security personnel and the recovery rate to 96.63 percent against 96.61 updated on Friday.
The number of active cases, meanwhile, is 2,216 and the total cases is 1,20,879 .
At district level, Ukhrul is the only district to have registered a test positivity rate in double digit (14.9 percent) .
In the last 24 hours, another 928 D-type and 260 B-type Oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health facilities in Manipur while 1713895 Covid vaccine doses were administered on October 1 .
As enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, COVID-19 beds available at different health care centres are RIMS (general beds 197; ICU/HDU beds 23), JNIMS (general beds 43; ICU/HDU beds 10), CMC Koirengei (general beds 30; ICU/HDU beds 08), Iboyaima Hospital (general beds 25; ICU/HDU beds 5), Jivan Hospital (general beds 20; ICU/HDU beds 5), Shija Hospital (general beds 59; ICU/HDU beds 41) and Raj Medicity (general beds 77; ICU/HDU beds 21) .
