Imphal, April 08 2023:
TCMDC-Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak crushed YPHU-Lalambung Makhong by 143 runs in a Group D match of the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament as YWC-L held TRAU to a rare tie in a Group C match.
At PCC Ground, Mayaikhoibi, TCMDC who were put in to bat first amassed a huge total of 259 runs for 7 in 30 overs and bowled out YPHU for a paltry total of 116 runs.
YPHU conceded 57 extras in TCMDC's innings while Vishonath Laishram scored a quickfire 51 off 40 deliveries.

Dipachandra Sagolshem also added 37 runs to TCMDC's tally.
YPHU's Irom Eshwor (2/20), Loktongbam Tomthilnganba (2/38) and Anderson Keithellakpam (2/31) shared two wickets each as Konsam Mangal managed a wicket.
In reply, Moramba Mutum (3/12), Dipachandra Sagolshem (3/33) and Yumnam Tomthinnganba (3/19 in 4.1 overs) of TCMDC ripped apart YPHU batters with each to cut short the innings at 116 in 29.1 overs.
Loktongbam Tomthilnganba was the highest run getter for the team posting a painstakingly slow 29 runs off 88 balls as 6 of his teammates fell for ducks.
Dipachandra Sagolshem of TCMDC who picked three wickets and added crucial 37 runs was adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile, in a group C match at PTRC Ground Patsoi Part IV, YWC hung on to play out a tie with TRAU who posted 145 for 6 in 30 overs after electing to bat first.
Zonic Kangujam made the highest 28 runs for TRAU after a flurry of 5 early wickets while Sushanta (20) and Preethson Arubam (19) followed suit and were unbeaten as their innings ended.
For YWC-L, Seram Tondonsana picked up three wickets including opener Tyrus for a 7-ball duck in the second over before bowling out third and the fourth wickets.
Yumnam Brightson in the meantime finished with two wickets and Yumnam Achouba claimed one.
In reply, YWC-L also faltered from the beginning and were reduced to 48 for 4 in 7.2 overs as four TRAU bowlers enjoyed a wicket each.
However, Yumnam Achouba (38) and Daneil Seram (29) stitched together a 66-run partnership for the fifth wicket to ease some pressure and take the tally past the 100-run mark.
But Daneil's Seram departure marked the beginning of a swift collapse and despite Arubam Rohit and Mutum Swabhiman posing threats, extras helped YWC inch closer to their target.
The game may have ended in a thriller but Rohit caught and bowled Pukhrambam Michael for 7 for the 10th wicket in the 2nd delivery of the 19th over to snatch a tie.
Arubam Rohit who finished with best bowling figures of 4 wickets for 39 runs in 4.2 overs was adjudged man of the match.
