Femina Miss India contestants meet top cops

Imphal, April 08 2023:
The contestants of Femina Miss India 2023 Grand Finale, scheduled to be held at Khuman Lampak on April 15, interacted with officials of Manipur Police Department at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, here, on Saturday.
The interaction programme organised by the Police De partment from 10 am to 1pm was attended by Femina Miss India 2023 Police nodal officer IGP (Ops) IK Muivah, IGP (Intelligence) K Kabib, women police officers and other top officers.
During the programme, the contestants were imparted the basics on judo, taekwondo and boxing by sports personalities of the department.
YAS inspector Likmabam Sushila also presented a demonstration on Olympic Judo, YAS coach Yumnam Shantibala on taekwondo and ASP (Sports) and world boxing champion Laishram Sarita on self-defence.
As part of the interaction, the contestants spoke about ramp walk, skin care and other topics.
The Femina Miss India team expressed their appreciation for organising the programme.
It may be mentioned that all the 30 contestants of the 59th Femina Miss India arrived here on Friday for the grand finale to be held on April 15 at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
Manipur will be the first state in the northeast region to host the mega beauty pageant.
Strela Luwang Thounaojam of Uripok Bachaspati Leikai is representing Manipur in the pageant.
She has already bagged two sub-titles in preliminary rounds held in Mumbai.
