Minister Letpao leads cleanliness drive

In connection with 43rd foundation day of BJP, Bharatiya Janata yuva Morcha Tengnoupal conducted a cleanliness drive in the border town, here, on Saturday.
Upon visiting Moreh police station while participating in the cleanliness drive conducted in front of the police station, Tribal Affairs & Hills minister Letpao Haokip voiced strong resentment after only two personnel were found present at the station.
Speaking in this regard, Letpao pointed out that there should be at least five/six police personnel stationed round the clock at a police station.
"What will happen when people come to the police station to lodge complaints in the event of occurrence of clashes and find only two three police personnel? " he questioned.
The cleanliness drive was conducted in front of Moreh police station, In-do-Myanmar Friendship gate no.2, Moreh town and other areas.
The minister also instructed the shop owners and vendors to properly dispose waste materials in the dustbins installed.
The cleanliness drive was attended by members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Mor-cha, Tengnoupal Mandal, Mahila Yuva Morcha, Tengnoupal, and Moreh-based Meetei Council, Hill Tribal Council, Manipuri Muslim Council and Tamil Sangam among others.
