CRPF unit conducts civic action programme

Imphal, April 08 2023:
CRPF 69 Battalion under the aegis of IGP M&N Sector organised a Civic Action Programme at New Keithelmanbi village in Kangpokpi district on Saturday.
As a part of the programme, the battalion constructed a concrete floor dining hall (15 x 30 Sq Feet) for the children residents of Ema Foundation shelter home at New Keithelmanbi, which has been looking after the orphans and helping them grow as respectable and responsible citizens of the country.
The foundation was in dire need of the structure in order to sit, eat and talk like family members so as to instil in them a sense of oneness amongst the children, said a release of the CRPF unit, adding that Ema Foundation founder Dauja-lal Haokip and co-founder Rebati Haokip along with all the residents expressed their gratefulness to 69 Bn for the humane initiative and gesture.
Speaking as chief guest of the function, commandant Bajrang Lai expressed that 69 battalion is both humbled and proud to be able to make some contribution for the welfare and uplift of the children and the foundation.
He also assured them of all support and help required in the future for the orphans and the local populace living in the area as well.
Among others, senior officers and personnel of the battalion also attended the programme.
