Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : PTRC crush MPA by 9 wickets; YPHU beat CYCLONE by 6 wickets

PTRC, Patsoi beat MPA, Thounaojam by 9 wickets while YPHU, Lalambung won the match against CYCLONE, Thangmeiband by 6 wickets in the matches of the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-16 Boy's Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy, 2021-22 today.
In the match played between PTRC and MPA at Heinoupok PlayGround today, PTRC won the toss and opted to field first.
MPA batsmen were unable to face the onslaught of PTRC bowlers including Salam Richie who took 6 wickets in 5.5 overs and gave away just 6 runs.
None of the MPA batsmen was able to give a firm stance against the PTRC bowlers as one after another fell victim to the onslaught and ended the innings with just 49 runs (including 24 extras) in 25.5 overs.

Coming out to open the second innings, PTRC's Nongdamba Meitei Chingakham (captain and wk) was caught off guard as Elangbam Rohit nailed a catch.
With Nongdamba returning to the pit after adding just 1 run in 6 balls, Lann Naorem and Santosh Sharma Sijagurumayum added 13 runs in 39 balls and 14 runs in 42 balls respectively to give PTRC a tally of 52 runs (including 24 extras) in just 14.2 overs with 9 wickets in hand.
Salam Richie won the man of the match for his 6 wickets in 5.5 overs haul.
In another match played between Cyclone and YPHU at ABA Ground Kshetrigao, YPHU won the toss and chose to field first.
Cyclone batsmen manage to score a total of 112 runs , including 45 extras, in 30 overs with a wicket remaining.
Thomson Moirangthem added 24 runs in 38 balls.
YPHU's Bishworaj Sharma gave 17 runs in 5 overs and took 2 wickets, Birbal Irom 16 runs in 6 overs and 1 wickets, Prince Kumar 26 runs in 6 overs and 1 wicket, Gaichuingam Gangmei 9 runs in 1 over, Abdul Kaif 19 runs in 6 overs and 1 wicket and Irom Sunny Singh 12 runs in 6 overs and 2 wickets.
Opening the second innings with Birbal Irom, Gaichuingam Gangmei was bowled by Aribam Ronald and was sent back to the pit after facing just 7 balls and adding just 1 run. Birbal and new batsmen Irom Sunny set up a good partnership as Birbal added 21 runs in 17 balls and Irom Sunny added 22 runs in 37 balls before being bowled by Suraj Singh Meisnam and Thomson Moirangthem respectively.
Prince Kumar added 23 runs (not-out) in 25 balls, Kshetrimayum Rishi 5 runs in 26 balls and Bishworaj Sharma 6 runs (not-out) in 13 balls to give YPHU a 6 wickets victory. Irom Sunny won the man of the match.
