Imphal, April 03 2010:
The extent of the devastation caused in the hail storm that lashed many parts of the State over the last few days has not been able to work out as the Deputy Commissioners concerned have not submitted any report to the Relief and Disaster Management Department.
According to information received by the press, as per the standing order, the Deputy Commissioners have to submit the assessment report of the damages caused in their respective jurisdiction and submitted their reports to the Relief and Disaster Management Department.
Then only, the Department can act on immediate necessary relief measures to be taken up.
