Lamka, April 03 2010:
Churachandpur scripted history and fittingly commemorated the centenary year of Gospel today as the wits of organizations that matters today collectively pledged a paradigm shift to end local enmities that deprived them of any substantial infrastructural development for decades.
Denied of any substantial developmental projects including the much touted mini-secretariat, FCI go-down, mini-stadium and an AIR station solely due to tussle on minor local issues that were propelled often by communal tinges, the momentous yet quiet congregation today said, 'Enough is enough' .
Rather than opposing proposals made by the government to establish the much needed developmental infrastructure in the district, and the tussle for relocations at a locality of the choice, the congregation attended by intellects and civil society organisations of various communities decided to mutually deliberate on the issue and arrive at a common resolution.
With the district adopting the unprecedented pledge today, the Chief Minister O Ibobi, who lastweek shelved inauguration programmes here is likely to reschedule his itinerary at the earliest.
