Ashok Singh, national general secretary of the RJD and its youth general secretary Ekham Larry met media persons at its state office in Imphal after their arrival today.
Speaking to the media, Ashok Singh stated that the RJD and the Congress will work hand-in-hand to weaken the political mile-age of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state level as well as at the Centre, adding, "Our party will field the candidates in the up-coming ADC elections in the hill districts and that is the very reason we are here to push forward the strategy".
He also informed that Laloo Prasad Yadav, RJD chief will be visiting Manipur right after the ADC elections and also to assess for the next general assembly elections in Manipur.
On the brief meeting with the media persons at its state party office, Helaluddin Khan, RJD MLA from Manipur cited that RJD candidates will have a strong hold in Chandel and Churchandpur districts 'but that does not meant that we would not be setting up camps in other districts of Manipur for the ADC election'.
