Slow Loris rescued

Imphal, June 11 2014:
Volunteers of People for Animals (PFA) rescued one displaced Bengal slow Loris from Kakmayai yesterday.
According to a statement issued y PFA Thoubal, yesterday morning, villagers clean a site to observe an annual ritual.
At the site, the villagers found the Loris on an isolated tree.
Some villagers believed that the Loris was the incarnation of some local deities.
Eastern Youth Union club, Kakmayai handed over the Loris to one Th.Manglemjao Meitei, Member Leirongthel Ningel Gram Panchayat, who in turned handed over the animal to PFA.
