Dy CM inaugurates Khujairok Bridge, school hostels

Imphal, June 11 2014:
Newly constructed hostels for boys and girls of Eklavya Model Residential School at Chikim village, Moreh and a bridge constructed over Khujairok River were inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam as Chief Guest today morning.
Speaking during the inaugural function held at the hall of Moreh Trade Centre, Gaikhangam said that the residential school will provide opportunities to poor but talented students at free of cost and scheduled tribe students will be more benefited from the hostels.

He further said that people including students should treat the school as their own asset.
Stating that the Khujairok Bridge was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.66 crores with funding under Assistance to System for Infrastructure Development & Allied Activities since 2007, Gaikhangam maintained that there is need to develop Moreh town considering its strategic location.
