Tengnoupal, April 07 2022:
Surendar Singh Patheja, general secretary of Border Trade Chamber Of Commerce (BTCC), Moreh has appealed to the Government to initiate talks with Myanmar authorities to reopen trade in Indo-Myanmar border.
Speaking to media persons, Surendar Singh highlighted the sufferings of the people especially small business owners due to the prolonged closure of the Indo-Myanmar border.
He also alleged that the indiscriminate frisking and checking of goods including essential items at Assam Rifles' check posts along the Imphal-Moreh highway has added to the plights of the people.
