Imphal, September 05, 2013:
Conflict Widows Forum (CWF) has urged the State Government to trace the culprits who were involved in the killing of drivers at the earliest.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, CWF Imphal East Co-Convenor L Brojeshori said, rate of killing of innocent daily wage earners are increasing day by day.
Although, the State is currently witnessing rise in the number of widows and orphans, the State police personnel are busy in collecting taxes instead of protecting the lives of innocent people, she said.
Brojeshori also questioned why the State Police Department is unable to arrest the murderers of van driver Gyanendro, auto driver Naveen and others till date.
Gyanendro's wife Shanti said that people are wondering why police are unable to spell out any lead on different killings happened in the State in the recent past.
