Imphal, September 05, 2013:
The Conflict Widows Forum (CWF) has expressed its frustration over the indifferent attitude of the state government on the conditions of the widows in Manipur.
Conflict Widows Forum was addressing the press here on the August 18 Moreh incident where one Gyanendra was found murdered.
The Forum said several days have passed but the state government is not able to identify the culprits and book them.
It then demanded that the state government produce the culprits at the earliest and award them befitting punishment.
"Due to this lethargy from the side of the government more murder incidents are taking place in Manipur," the Forum said.
It then expressed its despair that the government never look into the situation of the widows whose husbands were killed in this trouble filled Manipur.
"The state government never thinks of taking up measures for the welfare of the widows neither it takes seriously on the numerous murder cases," fumes the Conflict Widows Forum, adding, "Because of such inefficiency of the government the number of widows is fast rising".
