Imphal, September 05, 2013:
Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has permanently shut down two educational institutes namely Ram Krishna Higher Secondary School and Galaxy School for allegedly misleading and making money illegally from their students.
In a statement, Roshan Meitei, Education Secretary of SUK stated that in during academic session 2012-13, around 700 students were admitted in Ram Krishna Higher Secondary School.
However, with an aim to make money, school authority collected around Rs 3000-4000 from nearly 60 percent of its students for conducting closed-door examinations and the students were allowed to use malpractices inside the examinations rooms in the SA-I and SA-II exams conducted by CBSE.
Apart from collecting the money, the school authority also misled the students by admitting some of the class X failed students in class XI.
