Imphal, May 02 2023: Sekmai Schedule Caste Development Committee (SSCDC) has imposed a complete ban on sand and stone mining from the river bed of Sekmai River from May 3 .

It may be noted that SSCDC is an apex body of twenty worker organisations in Sekmai area.

SSCDC resolved to impose the ban during a public meeting held today at the committee hall located at Sekmai Koujengleima.
