KKL for cancelling appointment of RIMS Dy Dir

Expressing apprehension over a possible plot to appoint a particular person to the post of deputy director of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) has demanded the authority to cancel the appointment of the incumbent deputy director of RIMS.
Addressing a press meet at its office premises at Paona Keithel, here, on Tuesday, KKL secretary general Luwangcha Ngamkheingakpa said that RIMS has become a den of corruption and contract works.
He said that a notification for recruitment of deputy director for RIMS was issued on May 20, 2022.In the notification, it was stated that candidate for the post should hold a level 12 post with 7th CPC including admissible allowances as per Central Recruitment process.
Other criteria include a minimum of six years' experience with character certificate and experience certificate.
Recruitment process also includes a written test among others.
At the time of issuing the notification, the present deputy director of RIMS was serving as at the rank of ASO in the ministry of health and family welfare, which is a level 8 post.
In a seemingly plot to appoint this particular person to the post, the authority issued another notification on June 20, 2022 by extending the last date of form submission from May 29 to July 2 .
In the meantime, promotion order of said person was issued by the personnel and grievances cell of the ministry of health on June 30 to the rank of under-secretary.
While process for taking charge to the promoted post usually takes one to two weeks, the whole formality for this person completed on the next day, July 1, he said while expressing possible plot to appoint the present deputy director to the post.
