Symposium on education and digital transformation in Manipur conducted

The Civil 20 Education and Digital Transformation (EDT) working group organized a symposium on "Manipur Symposium on C20: Education & Digital Transformation" recently at Imperial Hall, Classic Grande, Imphal East on May 1 .
The event was organized by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and hosted by the Intellectual Forum of North East, Manipur, a statement has informed.
The event was graced by eminent personalities such as Governor Anusuiya Uikey, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Ministry of External Affairs; Letpao Haokip, Minister of Tribal Affairs & Hills/Horticulture and Soil Conservation; Professor Naorem Lokendra Singh, vice-chancellor, Manipur University and Swami Devapriyananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Manipur.

During the event, Governor Anusuiya Uikey highlighted the importance of education in empowering women to make choices that can improve their welfare.
She stressed that education can increase women's awareness of their rights, boost their self-esteem, and allow them to assert their rights.
She also acknowledged the significant role played by Manipuri women in socio-economic and cultural life.
Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh pointed out the role of education in bringing about economic and social mobility, inclusion, and equality.
He emphasized the need for the creation of open public digital infrastructure in education centers that can be used by multiple platforms to solve India's scale, diversity, complexity, and device penetrations.
