Truckers hurt in stoning

Imphal, August 12 2010:
At least four truckers were injured when freight trucks heading towards Imphal from Mao on NH 39 with security escorts were stoned by suspected boycott supporters at Senapati this evening.
Reports said that windshields of many loaded trucks, which were escorted by CRPF, were shattered in the stoning.
Details of the injured truckers are yet to be received.
As many as 164 loaded trucks including 22 oil tankers crossed Mao gate today.
Personnel of 85 CRPF were escorting the trucks plying NH 39 amid the blockade imposed by the UNC.
The 20-day blockade has entered seventh day today.
