Condolences by different individuals, civil society organizations, political parties on the untimely demised of the publisher, editor and owner of the daily Poknapham S Gopal Sharma continued pouring in.
In separate press releases Senior Citizens for Society, All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO), Manipur Secretariat Services Association, RK Maipaksana Memorial Trust, Manipur Dramatic Union and Muslim Students' Union of Manipur deeply condoled the death of one of pioneer in the field of journalism of Manipur, S Gopal Sharma, the editor, publisher and owner of a leading daily paper the Poknapham.
Senior Citizens' for Society expressed deep sense of shock and sorrow at the untimely demise of S Gopal Sharma.
In a press release president, Senior Citizens for Society N Binoy termed Gopal Sharma as pioneer of high tech print media and modern journalism in Manipur.
They expressed share in the grief of the family suffered on the lost of S Gopal Sharma.
It was also mentioned that they observed two minutes silence for peace of the departed soul in heavenly abode.
