AMESTA protested

Imphal, February 20 2014 :
Demanding the State Government to take an affirmative decision on Requisite Qualification Scale for Primary Teachers at the earliest, All Manipur Elementary School Teachers' Association (AMESTA) on Wednesday staged a sit-in-protest at Khuyathong Pukhri Achouba Mamang.
A public meeting was also organized by the association wherein it decided to submit a memorandum to the Education Minister.
While coming to submit the memorandum, the protestors were stopped at Nityapat Chuthek by security personnel.
Later on, eight representatives were allowed to go and submit the memorandum.
