All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) has warned that the union would start intense agitation if the State Government fails to follow proper rules and seniority list in the promotion of employees in various Government departments.
Talking to media persons at the office of ATSUM located at Nagaram here today, its Information & Publicity Secretary Micah Kamei said that the union has been urging the State Government to follow the seniority list in the promotion of Government employees and maintain the required reserved posts for the Scheduled Tribe.
However, the Government has not taken up anything despite of repeated assurances in this regard.
It has been brought to the notice of ATSUM that the seniority lists have been ignored in the promotion of employees of health, agriculture, horticulture, veterinary and other departments of
the State.
The Central Service Rules have been violated by the State Government by encouraging nepotism and corruption in the promotion of employees.
The union has begun inspection and monitoring of Government departments, Micah Kamei added.
