1st Womens' Open Futsal meet Evenly matched games mark day II

Evenly matched games marked the second day of the 1st Women's Open Futsal Meet, in all the four matches played today, with YWC Langthabal edging past ESU A by a margin of 8 goals to 7, SAI-RC Takyel drawing NIVSO at 5 goals each, MPSC -A downing a fighting MPSC-B by 7 goals to five and YWC Langthabal scrapping past NYTHC by 10 goals to 8 .
Despite a heroic four goal spree from Kashmina of ESU-A, YWC Langthabal fought back bravely to carve out a win by 8 goals to 7 with S Rimaroy leading the fightback with 3 goals.
ESU went ahead by three goals early in the match when Kashmina found the net in the 4th and 14th minute with Margaret chipping in with one goal in the 6th minute.
The three early goals galvanised the YWC players and S Rimaroy came to her elements when she pumped in three goals in the 17th, 22nd and 39th minute of the match.
Fortunes swung on either side but it was YWC which ultimately prevailed in the end with scores from Ph Basanti in the 18th minute, Ph Bina in the 22nd and 23rd minute, S Meera in the 33rd minute and Ch Binobala in the 35th minute.
For ESU A Margaret scored another goal in the 27th minute and Tony in the 26th minute.
In the second match of the day, SAI RC, Takyel and NIVSO, Keibi matched each other with the game ending in a draw with both sides netting five goals each.
NIVSO went ahead in the 2nd minute through Pinky Chanu, who followed it up with two more goals in the 5th and 6th minute.
Kiranbala also chipped in with two goals in the 7th and 31st minute.
For SAI RC, Takyel, Ph Ichal netted the ball in the 3rd minute followed by A Tombi in the 4th minute, Th Babysana in the 22nd minute and Lovely G in the 16th and 33rd minute to tie the match with five goals apiece.
MPSC -A downed a fighting MPSC-B in the third match of the day by a margin of 7 goals to 5 .
Ng Balla was the star player from MPSC -A as she pumped in six goals in the 14th, 15th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and 32nd minute while O Bembem scored in the 39th minute.
MPSC-B fought back bravely with two goals from Sayed, and one each from Tampakleima, Sh Shanti and W Radharani.
In the fourth and last match of the day, YWC Langthabal got the better of NYTHC in a high scoring match with S Rimaroy leading the charge with five goals in the 5th, 6th, 22nd, 24th and 40th minute, followed by Ng Anibala in the 14th 20th and 28th minute, Ph Bina in the 28th and L Sumila in the 37th minute to total ten goals.
NYTHC fought back bravely but fell short by two goals with Ksh Ngoubi scoring in the 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th and 20th minute followed by M Bijeta in the 19th and 31st minute and P Nungsitombi in the 23rd minute.
