Seminar postponed
The 3-day National seminar on "New Challenge of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in 21st century" organised by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Manipur University and National Association of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (NAPESS), Hyderabad and scheduled to be held from August 19 to August 21 has been postponed due to the prevailing situation of the State.
Social service camp underway
A social service camp has been organised by Puleipokpi Rural Development Organisation (PRDO) at the flood affected areas of Sangaiyumpham Part-I, reports our correspondent.
Damaged roads were repaired by the members of youth club during the social service.
JLKL, Jiribam sacks
Jiri Louri Khongthang Lup (JLKL), Jiribam has terminated its member Usham Dilip, s/o U Dharma Singh of Champanagar for violating the principles of the JLKL, Jiribam.
The decision to terminate Usham Dilip was taken during the meeting presided by the president of JLKL yesterday at Jiribam, said a statement issued by the Lup.
Meeting
A meeting cum conference on the minority scholarships initiated by the Department for the Welfare of Minorities and Other Backward Classes and National Scholarship will be held on August 26 at 1 pm in the conference hall of State Guest House, Sanjenthong.
In a statement, Nodal Officer of Minorities and OBC, Manipur has informed all the students, educational institutes, students' organisations, guardians to attend the meeting.

The last date for submission of project proposals for Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme, Assistance to Disabled Person, Integrated Programme for Older Persons and Scheme for Prevention of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse under Social Welfare Dept is August 25 .
Aid to victim's family
Several organisations continued to extend monetary aid to Sapam Robinhood today.
Kangla Gym, Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai; Major Khul (Kabui Khul), MG Avenue; Bright Community Centre, Wahengbam Leikai and Ima Lai Khurembi Laibung Committee, Khurai have extended monetary aid of Rs 200, Rs 5000, Rs 1000 and Rs 4000 respectively.
AMMSU condemns
The All Manipur Minorities Students' Union has vehemently condemned the assault on a staff of Hueiyen Lanpao and two other pressmen by a team of Bishnupur district police commandos yesterday.
In a statement, AMMSU demanded the State Govt to take fitting action against the personnel involved in the assault.
