Director of RIMS, Imphal has fervently appealed, in the interest of public, to the JCILPS and public agitators to ensure that least inconvenience is caused to the movement of medical fraternity including paramedical staff of RIMS, Imphal during the ILPS movement.
In a statement, the RIMS Director mentioned that some of the injured volunteers and students and other activists who are on fast unto death are undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital.
The Director pointed out that RIMS Hospital is facing lots of problems in recent days in discharging its duties during this very precious movement for implementation of Inner Line Permit System in Manipur.
During this movement, hospital staff including doctors and nurses could not reach hospital sometimes to attend their duties due to blockade of road.
There have been instances of staff vehicles being damaged and even use of abusive language against the staff while coming to attend hospital duties.
The smooth functioning of RIMS hospital could not be ensured without the doctors, nurses and other staff, the director said.
