Late Chunthuigai Kamei remembered

The 3rd Death Anniversary of Late Pou Chunthuigai Kamei (former ZSUM State Secretary) was observed in the presence of various leaders of ATSUM, AZSU, ZSUM and senior leaders at ZSUM office, Imphal on Tuesday.
In a press release, former president of AZSU, John Tingenlung Pamei said Late Chunthuigai Kamei's life was shortened by some unsocial elements at Luangkao village on August 17, 2012 .
The programme was led by former president of AZSU, Pou John Tingenlung Pamei.
He narrated briefly the contribution made by Late Chunthuigai Kamei and many other leaders exhorted at his commitment and sacrificial works and performances during his short tenure as a State Secretary of ZSUM for the general public of different communities and tribals of Manipur and for the Zeliangrong community in particular, Pamei said.
After sharing his contribution and his life history, the members observed a two-minute silence prayer for the departed soul.
Korungphun, Vice President, ATSUM said Late Chunthuigai Kamei was a young dynamic leader who contributed in various fields for the cause of the people while Lovejoy Shimray, Education Secretary said that the late leader showered an eye opening nutshell to the young generation that the future young leaders should reaffirm to "walk the talk" which the former late leader had shown.
Micah Kamei, Information & Publicity Secretary, said that there should not be bloodshed in Zeliangrong areas which have been endangered by factional clashes and unnecessary killings.
Pou Benjamin Gondaimei, General Secretary, AZSU and Pou Shangru Gangmei, State Secretary, ZSUM also attended the function.
