Free flood relief medical camp held

A one-day free flood relief medical camp was conducted at Ruwngchang village under Chakpikarong block on Sunday.
According to Block Programme Management Unit (BPMU) Data Manager Chakpikarong, Sumpi Eldon Anal, Ruwngchang village, Chakpikarong is one among the worst affected villages under Chakpikarong block where many have been rendered homeless by the recent flood.
He said most of the houses have remained unsuitable for living till date and drew the attention of the Government for providing immediate help to the affected people.
Sumpi Eldon further said the free relief health camp was a part of the series of such medical camps being conducted by the team from the Community Health Centre, Chakpikarong under the leadership of Dr Monoringa Sumpi, M O i/c, CHC Chakpikarong with support from the Block Programme Management Unit, Chakpikarong under National Health Mission, Manipur with supervision from the Block Data Manger, Chakpikarong, Chandel.
He said facility on general medicine, minor operation, Ayush, ANC, free medicines and ORS & Zinc were provided to the villagers during the camp and added that patients numbering 129 were examined by the medical team consisting of four doctors (Including Ayush), four Nurses, one pharmacist and a team from the Block Programme Management Unit (BPMU), Chakpikarong.
