Imphal, August 18 2015:
JCILPS and the State Government would be holding another meeting tomorrow on the issue of enforcing ILPS or similar mechanism in Manipur.
This would be the third meeting between the two sides.
Speaking to media persons at AMSU head-office today, JCILPS convenor-in-charge Khomdram Ratan said they were informed about incorporation of the five points they suggested in the new Bill in addition to sending an invitation for another round of talk.
Acting on the new development, JCILPS, its Stu- dents' Wing, Women's Wing and other civil society organisations held a joint meeting today and decided to talk with the Government at 11 am tomorrow.
Clauses and provisions of the new Bill would be studied at the meeting, Ratan said.
He once again appealed to all the protesters to carry out only the line of agitation announced by JCILPS and refrain from blocking roads altogether.
He appealed to all the people to gherao Government offices as well as houses of Ministers/MLAs and submit memorandums to them in order to maintain the momentum of the mass movement.
He also appealed to the Government to pay immediate attention to the untoward incident which broke out in the course of a mass rally at Moreh today.
Ratan then urged all the communities of Moreh to work together towards restoring normalcy in the border town.
On the other hand, Imphal-Moreh highway was blocked today between Lilong bridge and Kakwa in support to the ongoing movement for enforcement of ILPS or similar mechanism in the State.
Vehicular movement along Uripok-Kangchup road was also blocked by auto-rickshaw drivers operating on Singda/Lairenkabi-Imphal route at Singda.
Later in the evening, a torch rally was taken out from Kadangband to Lamsang.
