Troops of 57 Mountain Divison seized 3450 kgs of Ganja worth Rs 5.5 crores from a Jiribam-bound truck coming from Imphal yesterday.
According to PRO (Defence Wing), the truck carrying 138 packets of compressed grade 'A' hash as intercepted at Kaiphundai along NH-53 at around 4 pm yesterday.
Four individuals who were on board have been apprehended and they have been identified as T Koireng Singh (47) of Uripok, L Imo (35) of Kadangband, Kh Robin (32) of Singda and L Jiten (23) of Pallel.
The arrested individuals along with the seized stuff have been handed over to Jiri Police at around 2.30 pm today.
As per the last report, one more person identified as L Samarendra Singh, resident of Kamrange, Jiribam has also been arrested from Muktakhai in this connection.
