The State's first IRB battalion today celebrates its 15th anniversary at its headquarters here with a spectacular parade and scores of activities throughout the day.
DIG (AP-II) LK Haokip graces the occasion and formally inaugurates the drill cum badminton shed of the battalion.
Early in the day, personnel and officers from the battalion marked their anniversary with an alluring flag hoisting ceremony appended with a heartrending salute 'shock parrot' to 47 of its slain personnel.
Floral tributes were also paid to the monument erected on their memory.
Tree plantation and luncheons were other attraction of the event that was attended by civil officers and paramilitary officials of the district.
