Lalboi Khongsai alias Boynao and Chongloi Seikam who were rounded up by villagers of Purum Likli and handed over to security forces as they came to the residence of BJP candidate L Kaikam to demand a certain amount of money are not cadres of Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA), contended the outfit's publicity secretary T Simte.
Speaking to some media persons today, Simte maintained that there are no one by the names of Lalboi Khongsai alias Boynao and Chongloi Seikam in the rank and file of KRA.
They have no connection whatsoever with the party.
They are drug abusers and they made the monetary demand in the name of the party for their personal gains.
KRA does not support any particular party or candidate in the ensuing ADC election.
The party never takes part in any election and it is strictly abiding by the SoO ground rules, Simte claimed.
While appealing to all concerned not to serve any monetary demand to any person/office in the name of KRA, Simte said that the party would take up befitting action if any one is found committing such misdeeds.
