Prayer for ADC Election
All Manipur Christian Organisation directed the churches irrespective of denominations in the hills and valley to organise fasting on Sabbath Day on Saturday the May 23 .
The fasting should be undertaken on Sunday the May 24 for Catholic and Protestants.
AMCO also urged the candidate and voters to abide the democratic code of conduct for a peaceful election.
EGM appeals KSO on media ban
Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) held an emergency meeting on Tuesday to review the ban imposed on an English local newspaper.
The meeting decided to appeal Kuki Students' Organisation to lift the ban by May 23.Both sides should hold talks to hammer out an agreement, said EGM.
If an amicable solution is not brought, EGM will chalk out its next plan, said a statement issued by EGM.
Ban lifted

The decision was taken after the body came to an understanding with the Manipur Government, said the press release by its Secretary.
Call for Student Merit Award : Nambol
The Development and Protection, United Voluntary Organisation is calling for applications from students who have scored 70 percent and above marks in HSLC, COHSEM Exam 2015 under Nambol sub division for meritorious award and felicitation.

Manipur Artists selected for awards
IMPHAL, 19 MAY (HNS) : Artists of Sangai Artistes Association namely Thounaojam Sanoubi, Imo Heisnam, Surjit Saikhom and Heigrujam Jempu are being selected by Samta Sahitya Academy India for its award to distinguished artists.
