Training to boost Education Dept held

Education Minister Th Radheshyam said that updating the personnel employed in any organisation with the latest knowledge is required for progress and development and is a must for the Education Department as it plays an important role in shaping the society.
He made the statement at the inaugural function of a one month Induction Training Programme of Manipur Education Service officers organised at State Academy of Training, Takyelpat, today.
The Minister said the Manipur Education Service Officers should act as a catalyst of positive change for better development of education and to bring progress to the society.
He also suggested the participants to carry out an assessment, in groups, by giving a specific topic related to education and its issues, which can help them gain more knowledge and understanding of education as well as to be serious towards such training programme.
"The feedback should also be collected with the winding up of the programme in order to utilise such feedback for better planning in future", he added.
Varied topics like office procedure, introduction to services in the Government, organisational structure of the department, leave rules, National pension system, income tax, SSA & RMSA, mid day meal programme, National educational policy, etc were discussed during the trining programme.
Director Education (S) N Praveen said the MES Officers have been brought into service after much struggle and training in order to facilitate better functioning and implementation of education in the state.
L Nandakumar Singh, Deputy Secretary Education (S) E/O Additional State Project Director, RMSA, stressed on the importance of the induction training in improving the Education Department and its operations.
Additional Director State Academy of Training, W Chandra Kumar, Educational Department officials and resource persons were also present at the inaugural programme.
