Imphal, May 10 2017:
Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has demanded those officers involved in the appointment of 30 people to various posts in Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) to resign from their posts on moral ground.
Addressing a press meet held at its Keishamthong Top Leirak office today, MSF external affairs secretary, Ningthoujam Jugeshore alleged that the appointment was done without issuing any official notification and advertisement.
He demanded COHSEM officials to clarify over the appointment to the various posts including Assistant Programme Officer at the earliest.
He reiterated that the student body through the media had invalidated the appointment.
Instead of serving a clarification on the matter, arrangement is being made to regularise the 39 employees and fix their pay scale, he pointed out.
Cautioning that the student body will resort to intense agitation in case the demand is not heard by the authority concerned, Jugeshore added that a memorandum will be submitted to Chief Minister N Biren to highlight the alleged irregularities committed in the appointment.
