Imphal, May 10 2017:
Taking serious note of land encroachment issue along Indo- Myanmar border located between Satang and Saibol villages, villagers today have urged the Centre and State Government to take up the matter with Myanmar Government and resolve the issue.

Speaking to mediapersons at Manipur Press Club, Saibol village chief Piyoh Maku said, "Saibol village located along the Indo-Myanmar border is 42 kilometres away from Tengnoupal district Headquarters.
There are 21 villages in Saibol village area with more than 11 thousand population.
Between Satang and Saibol, international border pillar 82, 84, 87 and 88 are missing after the some portions of the land belonging to Manipur have been encroached upon by Myanmar" .
"The issue should be viewed seriously by both the State Government and Central Government so that the land is handed over to the rightful owner.
We met Chief Minister N Biren as well and are hopeful that the issue will be resolved" .
