OORJA CAPF U-19 talent hunt football Imphal East Club, KRYPHSA clinch titles

The football extravaganza, OORJA Football Talent Hunt Tournament 2017 organized by IGAR (S), which was marked by high scoring matches since May 1 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium came to an end today.
In the boys' final, Imphal East Club downed Thoubal Club by a margin of 6 goals to three while KRYPHSA, Naoremthong clinched the girls title after beating ESU, Wangkhei 3-0.A cash prize of Rs 50,000 each was given to the winning teams.
The final matches cum closing ceremony was graced by Thokchom Radheshyam, Minister (Education & Labour) as the chief guest.
MLAs Rajen Singh and Ranjan Singh, Brand Ambassador of the tournament Laishram Sarita Devi and star footballers of the State Renedy Singh and Bembem Devi also attended the function.

Other dignitaries who attended the function were YAS Commissioner H Deleep, Major General, Virendra Singh, VSM, IGAR (S) and Brigadier HK Chauhan, Deputy GOC, 57 Mountain Division.
After the final match, the closing ceremony of the OORJA CAPF U-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017 under the theme 'Arise, Awake and Stop Not Until The Goal is Reached' organised by the Assam Rifles was held at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
Chief guest of the function Th Radheshyam handed over the prizes to the winners.
Oinam Bembem Devi Running Trophy for 2017 for girls was presented to N Ratanbala, captain of KRYPHSA while the P Renedy running trophy for 2017 for boys was given to Imphal East Club.
Y Gopi of Thoubal Club was presented player of the tournament trophy.
According to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S), the Maj Gen Virendra Singh, VSM, IG AR (S) proposed the vote of thanks in which he commended the Assam Rifles fraternity, All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) dept and DHFL for putting up a spectacular show to identify and harness the latent potential of footballers of Manipur.
He also thanked the administrative and security staff for ensuring smooth conduct of the events.
He extended his heartiest gratitude to all dignitaries, athletes and sports persons from various fields, especially the veteran footballers for supporting the cause of football in the State.
