Imphal, October 20 2012:
Tender for privatisation of the semi-low floor buses given to Imphal under Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNURM) by paying Rs 1170 everyday for seven years has been held but no bidders were successful.
An official source informed that as no bidders were successful in the first tender, the Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (UMTA) has decided to issue notification for second tender on Monday .
Three bidders applied for the first tender held for privatisation of semi-low floor buses.
But none of the bidders could produce necessary complete documents.
As such, all the bidders were disqualified.
Even if only single bidder applies during the second tender, the semi-low floor buses would be handed over to the bidder under the terms and conditions set by UMTA.
