BSNL on mission to educate its customers

Under the aegis of Bharat Sanchar Ningam Limited, Manipur, a one-day workshop on Customers' education was held at the conference hall of BSNL Bhavan here today.
The workshop was attended by GMTD, BSNL J.Lunkim, AGM (Mktg) B.Rajeshwara Rao, Secy.
of Rural Women Society Kodompokpi Y Shanti, AGM (OP) S.Devendro and M Asha (Adm) as Presidium members.
The main objective of the workshop was to impart better understanding between the customers and BSNL Company.
The company has so far provided facilities like Lane line, CDMA mobile, GSM mobile 2G+3G, Internet Bradband,Wimax, Telegram, Video and Audio conferencing, Cell broadcasting etc.
to the customer.
The information could be obtained through the Fault Restoration System (FRS) .
Addressing the key note speech,AGM (MM) of BSNL Manipur, S.Manglem recalled that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited started providing service to the people of Manipur since October 2000 .
He said that BSNL Company is today the largest telecommunication company in the country and it is providing facilities like planning Network Integration, Transmission Network etc.
Manglem further said that the goal of the BSNL is to provide better service to the customers by adopting world class technology and simultaneously improve the economy of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, GMTD of BSNL L Lunkim disclosed that the number of BSNL customers has been reduced to 30 thousand at present due to entry of several other private telecommunication companies in the state.
He informed that company is working for increasing the number of customer and promote the company into a world class one.
At present BSNL has a total of 150 towers in the state and the BSNL could not provide better service due to lack of unremitted power supply in the state.
