Imphal, February 01 2014 :
Even as post mortem of Laishram Surmila's corpse was done this afternoon, the JAC formed in connection with the missing case of Surmila has decided not to claim the corpse until and unless all the culprits are booked.
One doctor who took part in the post mortem said that the post mortem report would be made available within a short period.
Saying that some evidence have been collected, the doctor opined that Surmila was murdered around four days back.
The girl's body had started decomposing partially.
On the other, condemning in the strongest term the murder of the young girl and covering the body with mud with an intention to destroy all evidence, the JAC urged State police to register necessary cases against the culprits for trying to destroy evidence under relevant sections of IPC.
Laishram Surmila of Chandonpokpi village, Bishnupur district who was suffering from impaired hearing and speaking capacity went missing after she went out to herd in their cow at around 3.30 pm of January 22 .
She was found dead inside a drain at Phaizol village, Churachandpur district yesterday afternoon.
Some people of Chandonpokpi who came to RIMS morgue today said that Chandponpokpi and Phaizol are separated by just about one Km.
The same night Surmila went missing, people made an extensive search in all the surrounding areas/villages including Phaizol but the girl could not be traced.
Yet the girl was found dead at Phaizol.
In the light of this fact, it is possible that the girl was murdered somewhere else and dumped the body there.
Surmila's father Amuthoi said that he would never forgive those brutes who had no remorse in killing an innocent girl, that too a minor.
He urged Police Department to book the murderers as fast as possible.
Surmila was the fourth of six siblings born to her parents.
