BJP State unit today organised Namo Chai Parties in the name of the party's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in different parts of the State.
The tea party was organised at 200 different places of the State where all visitors were offered tea free of cost.
Speaking about the event, BJP State unit president Th Chaoba said that the tea party was organised to drive home the point that any citizen of India can become the Prime Minister irrespective of whe-ther one hails from rich or poor family.
He stated that Narendra Modi was born in a poor family.
Dr RK Ranjan said that Narendra Modi can bring about good governance, development and prosperity in the country.
Mungchan Zimik adds: The BJP Ukhrul unit today offered tea to every passer-by free of cost at seven different locations of Ukhrul town.
Soso Shaiza, a prominent BJP worker said BJP will contest the Lok Sabha election from the outer consti- tuency of Manipur.
The party is still negotiating with NPF party for fielding a common candidate in the ensuing election.
She also added that BJP will support NPF candidate in Nagaland.
The free tea offering began from 9am and went on till forenoon at all the seven locations of the town.
The BJP Ukhrul unit also expressed its support to Narendra Modi as BJP Prime Ministerial candidate while extending warm welcome to NaMo on his proposed visit to the state on February 8 .
