Imphal, February 01 2014 :
Two additional rooms of School Building and Library at Tuitong village in the area of Samtal Salient were constructed through Border Area Development Project (BADP) by 3 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South).
The new rooms were inaugurated by Brig Gajendra Joshi, SM, Commander 28 Sector Assam Rifles on 30 Jan 2014 .
In another endeavour by, 3 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp under the Assam Rifles Military Civic Action Programme at Tuitong village in Chandel District on 30 Jan 14.The medical camp catered to the medical needs of the people of the villages of Tuitong, Kovang, Changjal, M Gamnom & M Bijangphai villages.
The local population have benefited tremendously as they had to travel long distances to Moreh or Imphal for basic medical treatment.
These welfare measures would go a long way in building trust & confidence of the people in Assam Rifles & the civil administration, according to PRO IGAR (S) .
