Imphal, February 01 2014 :
A 800-pair underground cable of BSNL of about five metre's length was stolen last night from BSNL pillar near Moirangkhom Bazar and 100 pairs broke down due to shifting of electric pole in front of All India Radio, Imphal station while widening Wangkhei Kongba Road.
As such, this has affected telecom service in Moirangkhom, Bamon Leikai, Khongman, Yumnam Leikai, Singjamei, Heirangoithong and AIR station areas.
A statement issued by the SDE (South), BSNL Imphal said that restoration of cables will take at least 3/4 days while expressing regret to the inconveniences to the public.
