JDDC convenes all pol parties meet

Jiribam, November 11 2016:
The Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) organised an all political parties meeting of Jiribam level at the office hall of JIMPAL today under the chair of Th Kumba Luwang.
The meeting was attended by executives of Jiribam Block Congress Committee and BJP Mandol, Jiribam in the presence of all the mainstream civil society organisations of Jiribam.
The meeting unanimously adopted three resolutions.
The resolutions included shutting down all Government offices at Jiribam from November 12 while schools and colleges have been exempted from the shut down.

Thereafter, the meeting decided to take the standing opinion of all the elected representatives of Jiribam beginning from the local MLA, Zilla Parishad, 6 Gram Panchayat Pradhans and councillors of Jiribam Municipal Council within November 14, in connection with the district demand of Jiribam.
The JDDC also decided that failing to give their opinion within the stipulated period, JDDC will ban the said elected representatives.
Further, it added that the political parties present in the meeting should pressurise the higher authority and do which is possible from their end at the earliest.
