Don't give room to BJP : D Raja

CPI general secretary and former MP D Raja has urged the voters of Manipur to support the Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance (MPSA) in the two phased State Assembly election so as to defeat the BJP and its 'manipulative politics' .
Addressing the media at Hotel Imphal today, D Raja stated that defeating BJP is imperative to save Manipur which is one the most sensitive border States in North East India.
"Our sole objective is to defeat BJP which is a communal party," he said and claimed that BJP is constantly challenging the democratic ethos of the country and tilt toward the big corporations.
The country has never witnessed a Prime Minister who indulges in cheap campaigning and uses abusive language against the Opposition parties, D Raja claimed and added that CPI will always stand for the people of Manipur and respect Jananeta Hijam Irabot's ideology.
The CPI has also been fighting to save the territorial integrity of the State and to repeal the controversial AFSPA.
Has the Prime Minister delivered his assurance to create two crore jobs every year and increase the farmers income, he asked and claimed that the BJP is only making the rich richer and poor poorer.
Claiming that BJP has also been attacking the social life of common people and polarising the masses, he added that defeating BJP is indispensable to save the country .
BJP is trying to win elections through money power, he claimed and added that people, however, have aired their anger towards the saffron party for indulging in manipulative politics.
D Raja also exuded confidence that the people will give a historic verdict and unseat the BJP after the election.
CPI National executive member Dr M Nara, CPI Manipur State Council secretary L Sotinkumar, Forward Bloc State secretary Kh Gyaneshwar, CPI candidate in Khurai AC RK Amusana and CPI (M) State secretary Ksh Santa were also present.
