Imphal, February 16 2022: A team of Imphal West district police commando arrested a cadre of the armed outfit.

National Revolutionary Front of Manipur (NRFM) at about 10.30am on Wednesday.

The arrested cadre has been identified as Khuraijam Ronald alias Mangal (32) son of Kh Ibomcha of Tendonyang Makha Leikai.

the commando team recovered one letter head of NRFM and one .32 pistol from the possession of Ronald.

According to a police source, Ronald was arrested when the CDO team conducted search operation in Tendoyang Makha Leikai area upon getting specific information about the presence of some UG elements in the area.

During initial questioning, Ronald disclosed that he joined the outfit in September, 2021 and worked under the command of outfit's self-styled finance secretary Dhabalo alias Nongpoknganba.

He also disclosed that he had served a demand letter to a house in Sawombung in Imphal East district sometimes back and used to transport outfit's arms from one place to another.

Ronald has been handed over to Sekmai police station for further necessary legal action, the source added.
