Bank robbery Six HDFC staff pulld up

After the arrest of two persons who were allegedly involved in the robbery case of HDFC bank, Thoubal branch, six bank employees including a security staff have been pulled up by police for questioning.
Under the supervision of N Modhunimai, Additional SP (Operations), a team of Thoubal district police led by S Hemanta, SDPO Yairipok and Sankerdeva, SDPO Thoubal yesterday arrested another person, who was found storing looted money and jewellery at his house.
He has been identified as Laishram Jayenta (24) s/o L Manimacha of Charangpat Mayai Leikai and recovered Rs One lakh in cash and jewellery worth around Rs 19 lakh.
These items were kept hidden in a pond located inside his residential complex yesterday morning.
Police also seized one Dio two-wheeler moped which was used in carrying out the robbery.
As per the disclosure of Thokchom Dillip (50) s/o (L) Mukta from Charangpat who was arrested on July 5, another Rs 20,000 was recovered by the police team.
Police further managed to recover another Rs 37,000 from the residence of another person.
However, the house owner is still absconding.
At least six employees of HDFC including the security staff of the HDFC bank were pulled up by Thoubal district police from their respective residences last night.
Meanwhile, a combined team of Assam Rifles personnel and Thoubal district police arrested a man who was allegedly involved in robbery along with Rs 1 lakh today morning.
He has been identified as Thokchom Suresh (24) of Charangpat Mayai Leikai.
On the other hand, a juvenile who was directly involved in the crime has surrendered before S Hemanta, SDPO Yairipok police station today.
It may be mentioned that around seven youths looted HDFC branch Thoubal at around 5.30 pm on July 4 .
