Imphal, July 07 2016 :
On the occasion of its 5th foundation day (July 8), the CorCom has conveyed warm wishes to all the people of Manipur and revolutionary leaders and cadres fighting for the 'freedom' of Manipur.
A statement issued by CorCom Convenor-in-Charge Irengbam Chaoren informed that they would wage the liberation movement from the perspectives of political-economy combined with military approach.
It is the objective of the CorCom to drive back all Indian military forces from the soil of the land, and to build up a collective revolutionary movement is a policy of the committee.
To forge unity with all like minded revolutionary groups of WESEA and fight the 'common enemy' collectively is another policy of CorCom, it asserted.
During the last five years, CorCom has made remarkable strides towards the ultimate goals of the liberation movement.
Many sub-committees namely Home Committee, Regional Affairs Committee, External Affairs Committee, Publicity Committee, Base Area Committee and Financial Affairs Committee have been formed under Cor Com just as the Joint Fighting Force (JFF) has been set up under the Joint Military Commission.
It was the JFF which attacked troops of 29 Assam Rifles on May 22 this year in Chandel district between Hengshi village and Tuyang village.
Manipur (Kangleipak) is the common home of all indigenous communities who have been living together since ages and they are entitled to equal rights.
Mutual respect for each others identities and protection of integrity through collective efforts is a principle of Cor Com.
It further conveyed gratitude for their support to the CorCom.
