Like Thoubal district, stocking of rice at Bishnupur district headquarters would be started from Monday even though repairing of the godown is still not fully complete.
More than 20,000 quintals of rice would be stocked at Thoubal district headquarters.
As for Chandel district, it being considered whether rice allocated for the district should be transported up to Thoubal district headquarters first.
It is also being examined whether rice allocated for Chandel district should be stored at Pallel or Kakching based on their storage capacities.
One Inspector of CAF&PD Department would monitor whether rice lifted by transporters actually reaches FPS agents or not.
Moreover, the stock positions would also be monitored regularly, Biren stated.
He then appealed to all local clubs, village authorities and Meira Paibi groups to cooperate with FPS agents so that NFSA rice can be distributed to all beneficiaries in fair manner.
He went on to clarify that MLAs and Ministers are not involved in distribution of rice but they may assist in the process.
