Nigeria kidnapping denounced

Demanding safe and early release of 223 school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram, a terrorist group in Nigerian, World Fund for Youth (WFY), Imphal organised a protest demonstration at Global Youth House, Soibam Leikai today.
According to WFY, Imphal director K Karnajeet Singh the militant group whisked away 276 school girls from Chibok Secondary School in North Eastern Nigeria on April 11 out of whom 53 managed to escape from the terrorists.
Even though whereabouts of the other girls remain unknown speculation is rife that the captives might be frequently shifted to remote and border areas in Cameroun and Niger Republic, said the director who citing video footage released by the terrorist group said the kidnapped girls were shown wearing Muslim cloaks, indicating that the girls are being converted
to Islam.

Further informing that today's protest demonstration is a part of the 'Bring back Our Girls' global campaign to secure safe release of the girls and denounce all forms of atrocities, he said the campaign is a joint initiative of the United Nations, UNESCO and other international human rights organisations.
persisting with the campaign WFY, Imphal will organise a mass protest at Imphal areas on May 22 with the participation of students.
